A couple of days ago, I wrote a somewhat rambling piece about Voice of the "Faithful" (VOT"F") Chicagoland's open letter to the Holy Father*. Meditative prayer can be hard to get into. Its not something you just do. You have to have some kind of discipline and a good visualization process or imagination. You need to set a time for yourself to do it. It would be hard to just sit down in the middle of the day. Perhaps it can be done. According to a Biography on Pope John Paul II the pontiff spent seven to eight hours in prayer meditative form of prayer. If you look at Catholic Online there is a whole section devoted to prayer. Prayer is an important part of our daily and weekly mass at church, but how much of us really believe it works.
