Obama's main theme during his stormy campaign has been "change". He has been traveling around the country spouting that four more years of Bush will be devastating to this country and that we must vote for him if we want to turn our great nation around. We must trust in his leadership if we want to see our country prosper again.
The one thing he is not going around telling anybody is how much this "change" is going to cost us. Has anybody gone up to him and said "Senator Obama, how much is this change going to cost the average American?" How long will it take to achieve this "change"? No, it is the one thing the Dems do not seem to be interested in. I guess to us Republicans we think of the money aspect first. You would think the Dems would too. Change cost money. After World War II our steel industry under went change, rather then change out our massive steel plants in the US the market dictated to the industry to out source our steel needs because the cost of "change" was too great. In the 70's change for the Auto industry meant that cars were downsized to make more economical cars. This meant retooling plants. Many cars were imported and made over seas. The point being this "change" that Obama wants will come at a price. He is ignoring market factors and ignoring market solutions and inviting disaster like the Soviets and Chinese did with there "great reforms, or great Change". All change does. He is looking at over hauling health care,
Provide Additional Tax Rebates to American Workers:
Establish a $10 billion Foreclosure Prevention Fund
Extend and Expand Unemployment Insurance:
Improve Transition Assistance
Double Funding for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership:
Invest In A Clean Energy Economy And Create 5 Million New Green Jobs:
Create New Job Training Programs for Clean Technologies:
Just scrolling through the Obama's plan you see that he is ready to pour money into health care, manufacturing, job training, but he is not saying where he is going to get this money. A business is governed by market forces and seeks solutions to its problems through market solutions. In other words when forced by large expenses it can not afford it does things that will allow it to survive. Thus the Steel and auto industry faced with stagering cost went over seas. Obama is not seeking market solutions rather his answer must come from raising taxes. More tax and spend. More making the hard workers pay the tab, the very workers he is trying to help. He says that he will tax the rich. Who are the rich? They are the ones that own businesses. What will they do when taxed more? They will pass the buck on to the consumers and prices will go up. Who loses in the end? The consumer the hard worker, the labor guy.
This is the change he wants. This is socialism. Socialism calls for the restructuring of an economy. Take from the haves and give to the have nots. Have we not learned from history? Russia and China are models. They have tried this for almost half a century. The soviet Union failed. China has reverted to an almost market economy to stimulate their failed policies. Mr. Obama, you try to convert a capitalistic society into a socialistic society and you will change America. You will make it the poorest country in the world. Again, I ask you again Mr. Obama, how much will your change cost America?
