The Story Conversion Part II
Posted On 05/15/2011 12:53:06 by AskAdelina
I waited a bit before posting this second part of conversion because I feel that it is important to allow healing in people's lives. My friend that has the children and that has struggled through her addiction picked up the phone to let me know that jobs were switching around and that she has decided to make her children a priority. I must admit that I am so proud of her making such great decisions. She has decided that her children need her heart first. So she is making every intimate moment with them important and making sure that their needs are met. Although, there are some things that still need attention to, at least she is making an effort. She has been going back to church and speaking with her preacher. The preacher is making a huge difference, just in listening.

Just in listening can we give someone the gift of conversion. You know when we talk to God and we share with Him the intimacy of our heart, then we are allowing Him to enter our Spirit and our 'being'. We are letting God in on the deepest level of what we are all about. Our heart is allowing Christ to enter and we are allowing Him to do His Mystical Work. Let God decide how He wants to help us out but give Him the chance to work in our Hearts first. When I was younger, I remember a Baptist minister telling me to breath in "Jesus" and to exhale anything ugly we could think of! It was pretty funny.. I would sit for hours breathing... In "Jesus"; Out "Ugly". But as time went by, I began to understand what he meant.

Let us bring the ways of Christ in our minds, hearts and in what we do. And let us get rid of the things that are not of Christ. Breathing in Jesus, means to allow Him into your life and in every aspect of our lives! You will begin to see the changes in your life and in those around you.

Remember, that although, you maybe doing things in your life that are of God, you may encounter hardships, but I think those are a test of Faith. It is in how we handle those situations and crisis that matters, not the content or nature of the crisis we are going through.

Blessings. I hope you enjoyed Part II of the Conversion Story. More to Come..
