Going To God

It has been another exciting week for me. Not so much in what I am doing to become a Catholic but in all the wonderful blessings the lord has given me. I found out this week I will have to wait until September to start my classes. Next Easter (2010) I will be baptized. I can't wait until then. I know that I have many wonderful things to learn about the faith and the time that I have to study and learn is much needed. I know that I will appreciate it much more when the time comes. I feel like a kid again waiting for my birthday the excitement is overwhelming.
This week I have been blessed in many ways. I got to see the lords work first hand. Last Saturday I went to visit Bob in the hospital. He is a wonderful sweet man and it is a pleasure to call him my friend. God answered my prayers and I am sure all of yours because Bob came home. He seems to be in good spirits and feeling better.
Vern and I visited Bob last night. He didn't dwell on what was ailing him but instead gave me a prayer book. In watching Bob relive some high school glory I realized that he is alive and full of the spirit. God is truly touching Bob on the shoulder and watching over him. On a side note he makes some awesome chili and cornbread.
My friend's house was broken into just as her husband was sent away to do some schooling in the Military. She felt like she was all alone. God answered her prayers and her grandmother is coming to stay with her for three weeks until her husband gets home. She was telling me that her grandmothers schedule was so full that she wasn't going to be able to leave home. Then all of a sudden her schedule just opened up and now she is here in Las Vegas. My friend will have peace of mind. I used to look at these things as lucky breaks now I see with prayer answers are given. I am going to continue to pray because I see the power that comes with it. I am also going to remember to take the time to say thank you for the answered prayers. This morning when I woke up I felt the need to say thanks. I see Gods handy work in all things. I feel so happy that good things are happening to the people that I love and care about. I am so blessed with a healty family, a growing faith and beautiful friends. Bob a special thanks for the prayer book and to my friends on CAT for all the support and guidance.
